Carmel Mountain Ranch – How’s the market?

Not a day goes by that I don’t get asked, “How’s the market?” I always respond with, “It depends… are you looking to buy, sell or purchase an investment property?”

Every day, week, month and quarter is different in real estate. Just this week we received multiple offers on two of our listings, both of which were bid and eventually sold above the asking price. In December 2010, our clients purchased this bank owned custom home for $499,000 located right around the corner from San Pasqual High School, LR Green Elementary, Kit Carson Park and the North County Fair. Three weeks later we had the same house back on the market, listed for $535,000. Within a few days the house was swarming with buyers and we had received five offers well over the asking price, ending up with a final sales price of $547,500.

What could the buyers have done to make that kind of profit in such a short amount of time?
