Walk The Block: Barrio Logan Saturdays

"Walk The Block" is a community initiative that was created in July 2020 to help struggling small businesses in Barrio Logan. Shop owners and local vendors set up their outdoor booths all along Logan Avenue. Food, Drinks, Clothing, & Gifts all available with a chican@ twist.

Beyond Van Gogh Through Mar. 6

Immerse yourself in Van Gogh's artwork like you've never seen it before. Beyond Van Gogh: An Immersive Experience will be in San Diego at the Wyland Center at Del Mar Fairgrounds for a limited engagement.

Setsubun Feb. 2

All of the activities, vendors and performances will take place inside the garden’s gates. We invite guests to make special oni masks, as well as participate in the Mamemaki, or bean tossing event.

The Hillbenders Present Whograss! Feb. 3

WhoGrass! is a chronological journey of The Who’s legendary catalog through bluegrass instrumentation. All the way through The Who’s discography, the rolling banjo, intense dobro percussion, and thunderous vocals will have even the biggest Who fan pumping their fist and singing along!

Joseph Luna Blues Band Feb. 4

The Music on the Mountain Concert Series presents the Joseph Luna Blues Band. The concert series is sponsored by the Friends of the Julian Library. Come out to listen and support free library programming.

Youth Fishing Derby Seminar & Campout Feb. 4-5

Learn to fish from the pros and watch demonstrations on how to properly rig a line the night before the 27th Annual Youth Fishing Derby. The fishing seminar will begin at 5:00 PM. Participants and their families are invited to spend the night for only $16 a car. Don't forget your camping and grilling supplies. Absolutely no fishing is permitted prior to the Derby.

Kid’s Night Out Feb. 4

Kid's Night Out is a win - win for everyone! Parents, take the night off because Kid's Night Out is all about the kids. Offered every first Friday of the month during the school year, kids in grades 1-5 will enjoy a themed night of recreation games, arts and crafts, special presenters, movies, and so much more.

Inaugural “Celebrate! Holidays and Family Traditions” Art Competition Feb. 4-24

All artists are invited to submit their best art and photography depicting holidays and family traditions. All holidays are acceptable for this competition. All artwork must be appropriate for viewers of all ages and suitable for a community event.

Mule Hill Historical Trail Feb. 5

Start out from the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead to enjoy a scenic 6.4-mile hike on the Mule Hill Historical Trail towards Raptor Ridge. There is little to no elevation gain and this hike rating = easy.

Art Alive – Mojalet Dance Collective Feb. 12-13

With support from the City of San Diego and Commission for Arts & Culture, Mojalet Dance Collective performs Mixed Sundry III: dances inspired by the body sculpture, athleticism, and emotional connections while celebrating the opportunity to present LIVE performing arts programs in an indoor setting. The evening will include a new work celebrating the coming together of and embracing human instincts.

Galentine’s Day Feb. 13

This year, Galentine's Day falls on Superbowl Sunday. Leave the football fans at home and come out to celebrate the day on the water. A relaxing gondola cruise through the canals and waterways of the Coronado Cays. This private cruise includes a complimentary chocolate truffle plate. Blankets, an ice bucket, and souvenir wine glasses are provided. Select wines are available for purchase. Each cruise is 50 minutes.

Thrive: Women, Growth, and Business Feb. 17

Created to give women in business and women entrepreneurs a place to network and to learn from other women in business. The event includes keynote speakers Sarita Maybin and Vanessa Elle Wilde; four workshops and a panel discussion. A light breakfast and lunch are included in the price of the tickets.

Silver Bay Dog Show Feb. 25-27

Established in 1934, Silver Bay Kennel Club of San Diego (SBKC) is one of the oldest kennel clubs in Southern California. The primary goal of the SBKC is to put on a good show for the exhibitors and to provide educational information and support to all dog fanciers.

Oceanside Museum of Art’s 25th Anniversary Gala Feb. 26

It was just over twenty-five years ago when what started as the dream of a handful of citizens became the reality of an entire community. This coming year, 2022, is the 25th anniversary of this momentous occasion. To acknowledge this historic milestone, OMA friends and supporters will be hosting a 25th Anniversary Gala at The Seabird Resort in Oceanside, California on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022. The Gala will launch a year of festivities, both small and large, as we bring people together to celebrate the transformative power of art.

Dana Point Symphony Quartet Feb. 27

A second smaller ensemble from Dana Point Symphony Orchestra brings to Fallbrook an entirely different group of musicians. Incredibly accessible to audiences of all ages, this particular performance features both timeless classics and more popular works from movies and television soundtracks.
